Summa Time!

So its finally almost summer, only a week to go, whose excited? For me, it’s just another summer, but this time were going into senior year! For those seniors, they are saying Sayonara to High School, and are getting ready for bigger and better things in college. But enough about school lets think warm weather, relaxing everyday, swimming and drinking a nice cool lemonade on the beach. Yeah not many of us will be doing that, but that’s what we all envision summer as right? “Aint nothing like the summer time”, a great quote by Cody Simpson that really tells it like it is.
This summer for me, will be a busy one. Ill be spending a lot of time working..Oh yay, then I have cheer camp, nationals for dance, and then cheerleading conditioning. I’m just looking forward to sleeping and going out for some ice cream and darn time I feel like it. What are you doing this summer? Are you going to be miss/Mr. popular and hit u every party? Or are you going to be an introvert and stay in all summer playing video games and reading? Maybe you’re even going to get married like Mr.Arra! Well whatever you decide to do, just know that summer is only about 2 ½ months, so make it count.
Hopefully you have a great time this summer and try not to get in to much trouble. Hey, maybe ill see you around town, cause Avon Lake is only so big. Hope you enjoyed all my blogs, I had a glorious time writing them, see you next school year!

Mr. G

Mr. G is a high school teacher in the show Summer Heights High, an Australian mockumentary series. This show is a parody of what high school life is like, and first started in September of 2007. Mr. G (Chris Lilley), is an Dramatics teacher who is very self absorbed and spunky. He loves interacting with the kids and making the day fun for them. The thing he loves most though, is directing the school play. He believes that he is the best producer ever and that people love to watch his plays. Honestly, his plays are down right terrible...but its the thought and effort that counts right?
You can watch some clips from his show on YouTube, since we don't get the show here. One of the funniest clips from the show is a segment from his drama class, where he shows all the fun activities that he puts on for the students. He mixes fun games, dancing and acting, to really get the kids moving. One game is called slap the butcher, which is the same as Duck Duck Goose, but the person running around holds meat. The second funniest clip is where he practices safety drills with all the students in the school. He to scare them with tries fire drills, terrorist attacks, pedophiles, and kids with guns. Mr. G really tries to use his acting skills to make the situation feel real. He claims that a safe school is a school that survives.
You can watch a clip of Mr. G in the link below, some people find it hilarious and some find it just weird, tell me what you think.

Cody Simpson Concert

14 year old beauty, Cody Simpson, Has started his tour called “4U” EP and made a quick stop in Cleveland.  He is a young pop singer from Australia who is winning young girl’s hearts around the world. His first single is called “IYIYI”, a catchy pop song featuring Flo Rida. The music video takes place in Australia, close to home. His newer song “All Day” is currently in the top 10 on Radio Disney for three weeks straight. The Concert took place just yesterday April, 19th.

Shane Harper

The concert started off with Shane Harper, singing a few of his songs from the Disney show Good Luck Charlie. After him, Camryn a new singer tried to wow the crowd with her young pop songs, but she failed…Also, a new comer Greyson Chance, who has been making his way into girl’s hearts for almost a year. Now, the real talent came on stage, Cody Simpson. He started off the show with the song “Round of Applause,” on his 4U EP album. After that he sang one of his hit singles, “IYIYI,”  this song made everyone go crazy. Following that, he sang “Don’t cry your Heart out,” he played guitar for this song and it was beautiful. Just like Justin Bieber does in his concerts, Cody brought a girl up on stage and sang to her “Not Just You.”. The girl balled her eyes out, it was rather amusing.
He sang a song off of his new CD, coming out in September, called “Found You,” which sounds like it will be his next top charts song. For his last song, he sang “All Day,” it was the finale, and it was phenomenal. Simpson definitely knows how to put on a show.  He and some of the other singers signed autographs afterwards, but the line was out of this world.
All of the singers did a wonderful job and I would go back and see them again, especially Cody. I recommend going to see Cody Simpson sing and dance because he puts on a great show, and you’re sure to have a fun time. http://www.codysimpson.com/

Tosh.0

Daniel Tosh, a comedian, is the host of Tosh.0, a hilarious show where Tosh explores funny Youtube videos, and makes fun of them. The videos range from pranks, embarrassing family videos, or just crazy videos that people take of themselves. Their are some insane videos our there and Tosh has them all. Not only does he comment on videos, he also talks about celebritys, society, and other random things.
He has many different segments to the show, Web redemption, where he gives people who embarressed themselves on the internet a second chance. Video Breakdown, where Tosh has 20 seconds to make as many comments about the video as he can. The phrase he uses at the end of this is "And for that, we thank you." Another segment he does, is reading what people tweet to him.
Tosh is not affriad to go outside the box, he does anything to make people laugh. Most times he will be running around in tight clothes or even naked. He dresses up for all the videos, and never fails to make the audience laugh.
Daniel Tosh went on tour for stand up, not too long ago, Tosh Tour Twenty-Ten. He isn't as funny when he does stand up to me, because you don't get the visuals like in his show. I think this show is hilarious and that he's one of the funniest comedians. You can watch him Tuesday nights at 10 on Comedy Central.

What are your plans for Spring Break??

Every year all the kids look forward to that week off of school after those long winter months. This year however, spring break isn’t till late April, the 22nd to be exact. Usually we get out in March when it’s still cold and gloomy, much like this past week with all the rain and random snow. We can all be sad and wonder why our break is so late, or we can be happy that when we get off when It will be much warmer. And for those seniors out there, you have only a few weeks of school left.
This year for break I’m going to work and go to my friend’s cabin. What are you gonna do? Don’t know? Well here are some of the top 10 destinations for 2011 Spring Break; Cancun, Panama City, Florida, Puerto Vallarta, and Europe. I’m guessing ¾ of us aren’t going to any of those places, so let me name a few things that are closer. Try the Zoo, you’re never too old to enjoy grazing animals, or take a trip to Kalahari for the night, great water slides and tons of fun, also creepy men as Courtney said, but hey some people might be into that. Lastly, take a trip out to Cleveland and go to the Science Center, its funner than it sounds. If you’re one of those people who don’t have money to spend, maybe try just hanging out at Huntington Beach, its very beautiful and a nice spot for a spring break date. You can always have a bonfire too! Well that’s all I got, tell me what you plan on doing over break…keep it school appropriate, Allie.

The Droid 2, is my new phone and it’s far from mediocre. Not only is it a Android which means great apps, fast internet, rich operating system and awesome visuals, but this phone can do even more. By connecting it with Facebook you are able to access people’s profiles in seconds, or if you connect to Skype, then you can chat people on there too. The touch screen makes it easy to operate, using just the touch of your finger to navigate through the phone. The slide out keyboard is just another great feature of the phone, it’s a full keyboard with everything you need on it to compose a sufficient text. The only downside of the is the fact that its battery runs out quickly. I looked at the reviews of this phone on Verizon.com and they were pretty high. People said “This phone delivers like a Smartphone should. I love the web browsing, and the speed in which it does it. The fastest processor and tons of features and apps. I just can't put this phone down!” Another comment was “I love it its so easy to use and its good looking too good apps good key size and the keys have bumps on them to make them easier to use its also really fast, I recommend it!” These are just some reviews given by current owners of the Droid 2.
I would recommend this phone also, it’s very easy to use and figure out. It’s ten times better than any other phone I’ve ever had, and I can do almost anything you need! Skins

The shows Skins is based on the real lives of teenagers, the show first started in Britain but now moved to America. The show is known to be sketchy and promiscuous. When the show aired in America, Monday night for 3 million viewers, it got a lot of criticism for being to vivid on teen sex and drug use. Many people say that MTV has gone too far with this show, and that its shouldn't be aloud on TV. Though it seems risky to many, MTV claims to have taken all the steps to make sure it’s not breaking any rules.
Honestly, I like the show and it makes me laugh. Skins might be a little risky, but that’s the kind of shows teens want to watch, not shows like SpongeBob, 19 kids and counting, Toddlers in Tiara’s or Swamp people. We like something fun that maybe some of us can relate too. The show might be giving kids ideas about drugs, but maybe they are just trying to show them what happens when you do drugs and some of the consequences. I think that if it weren’t for this show or other MTV shows showing what actually happens in the world, kids locked up in their room playing World of Warcraft would never know. Expose your children to what’s really going on, put down the books and watch Skins.
Everyone has their own opinion, but this show gets a thumbs up from me. Tell me if you like the show or not by commenting!
